If you mean literally record whatever happens and is displayed on the desktop, such as for presentations, etc, also with audio facilities, then there are some good Open Source solutions for that. You also have a couple of built in utilities. Then you left click on the image to select it, right click to get the context menu and select Save as, general somewhere in your \Pictures folder, perhaps in another folder within it. The best way to access it easily is to then open, say, Word, a blank page, right click on it and select Paste, or use the keyboard shortcut, Ctrl V. It takes a snapshot and stores it temporarily on the Clipboard (in virtual memory). There's usually a dedicated key for that function on the right back. When you say 'record my desktop', do you mean take a screenshot of it? You can do that using your keyboard. Will this also record my desktop? The description on the website makes it sound like it is just for audio recording.Well, it would actually, but it is not the right tool for that.
